LISSY consists of an infrared transmitter mounted on the vehicle and a receiver module, whose infrared sensors
are integrated into the track. The locomotive address, train category, speed and direction of travel detected by the
infrared transmitter are recognized by the receiver and transmitted to the LocoNet. In addition, a wide variety of
automatic control functions can be implemented without the use of a computer.
LISSY Receiver
LISSY receiver 68 610 uses a single sensor only. For this reason only those LISSY functions
using a single sensor can be implemented. These are the switching operation, reading of the
locomotive data and the transfer of this data to the LocoNet. All automatic functions like
shuttle operation, holding point, block-section or station control are not possible with this
receiver.
LocoNet IR Receiver 63830
IRIS receiver for connection to LocoNet central stations
1. Description
With the LocoNet IR set, locomotives, points and tracks can be controlled wirelessly from any digital LocoNet central station. Simply connect the LocoNet IR receiver to the LocoNet to control everything on the layout with up to four different IRIS handheld transmitters. With this receiver, you can also use the IRIS IR remote control or PIKO Digi-Fern with B-Basic, IB-Com, DAISY and ProfiBoss.
LocoNet Occupancy Detection Modules for 2-Rail Operation
The module provides sixteen inputs, each of which
is used to monitor a section of track.
One rail in each sector must be isolated from
the rest of the track and connected to the detector input.
A vehicle will trigger a Occupancy message
by bridging the sector rails with its non-isolated wheelsets.
All inputs can also be shorted to ground via a reed contact or a manual switch to
also generate the message.
Module for 3-Rail operation
The module provides sixteen inputs each
of which is used to monitor one track section.
One rail of each sector must be insulated
from the rest of the layout and connected to
the detector input. A vehicle will trigger an
occupancy message by bridging the sector's
rails with its non-insulated wheelsets. All
inputs may also be shortened to ground by
a reed-contact ora manual switch to likewise
generate the message.
A change of state caused by a vehicle entering
or leaving that section wilf be refayed
by a LocoNet message to the master or
other LocoNet devices, e.g. IB-Switch.
Power supply: Why is a power supply needed?
The Intellibox and TwinCenter provide 0.5 A (LocoNet T output) or 0.2 A (LocoNet B output) of power for
the devices connected to their LocoNet outputs. If many devices (IB-Control, IB-Switch, etc.) are used
on the LocoNet, the maximum load on these connections may be exceeded. To calculate the current load
on the LocoNet, the following values must be used:
IB-Control 65400 0.12 A
IB-Switch 65800 0.14 A
FRED 66000 0.02 A
Feedback sensor 63340 0.01 A
Feedback sensor 63350 0.01 A
For example, if three IB-Control and one IBSwitch are connected to the Intellibox, the maximum current load
of the LocoNet T output of 0.5 A is reached. If you want to connect additional devices, they must be powered
via the 63100 power supply
Switches lamps, turnouts and signals.
With 20 switch outputs at 1 A,
Each output can be independently configured as
a continuous output or momentary output.
All outputs can be switched by solenoid commands
or feedback commands.
With 6 independently adjustable flashers. Each
output can be assigned to either flash generator
(e.g. for the warning light at the level crossings)
or two flash generators (e.g. for the signal light
at building sites or for a welding light).
The LocoNet USB interface connects the PC directly to the following LocoNet systems:
» Uhlenbrock Intellibox, DAISY, Track-Control, IntelliLight
» Marklin 6021 with 6021 infrared adapter and Loconet
» Fleischmann Twin-Center, ProfiBoss, LokBoss
+ PIKO Power Box
+ Digitrax control units without interface.
The LocoNet USB interface can be used with Windows 2000, XP and Vista (32 bit,
without User Account Control enabled). Older Windows systems, such as 95 or 98, are not supported.
Uhlenbrock Solenoid and Switch decoder can operate in Motorola digital layouts (from Uhlenbrock and
Marklin) and in DCC digital layouts (from Uhlenbrock, Lenz, Arnold, LGB and Roco).
For the first time, the programming of the address in a Motorola format, is as simple as it has up to now
only been in DCC systems. The building block remembers the ‘listening’ format for key pair for which it
has been setup. The cumbersome encoding of addresses is now superfluous.
The Uhlenbrock Magnetic solenoid and switch decoder can use all addresses that the various controllers
can assign. Intellibox und IB-Switch can use addresses 1 to 320 in Motorola format and addresses 1 to
2040 in DCC format.
